A Design Partner in the San Francisco office, Tim leads WRNS Studio’s award-winning architecture and interiors practice across healthcare, fitness, wellness, workplace, and behavioral health projects. With experience spanning more than 20 years, Tim seeks a collaborative approach aligning critical design practice, innovative construction, and a healthy dose of humanism into an architecture that advances the flourishing of its users and the environment. He seeks to build in ways that both achieve measurable goals and create memorable places and resonant moments within a building, a campus, or a city.
After an early scientific career researching the impacts of protein structure on human health, Tim toggled from Molecular Biology to Environmental Design at the University of Colorado before earning a Master of Architecture from MIT where he was the recipient of the AIA Certificate of Merit. He is visiting critic at UC Berkeley, Stanford, and California College of the Arts. His design work with WRNS Studio has been published in Arch Record, New York Times, and Architect Magazine, and received the AIA Cote Top Ten Award. Tim also serves on the Board of the WRNS Foundation.
