Kelly Shaw

Kelly is a senior designer specializing in creating spaces that enhance user experience. A dedicated thinker and proactive problem-solver, she believes that the clear articulation of a challenge is the primary task of design: solutions are often embedded within the problems themselves. With a background in product and UX design, Kelly was drawn to architecture for its tangibility and specificity—where deep investigations into user needs, program, function, and context clarify design objectives and lead to something physical and inhabitable. Since joining WRNS Studio, Kelly has worked on a variety of projects, from tenant improvements and campuses for workplace to residential developments, K-12 schools and higher education clients. While her experience ranges across scale and typologies, her deep engagement with user-centered design is consistent throughout her work, and her work reflects the outcomes of her methodical and iterative problem-solving approach.
