An Advanced Placement art history course in High School first sparked Crispin’s interest in architecture. He discovered that some of the most pivotal human accomplishments happened through the creation of amazing structures. With a knack for the arts and sciences, Crispin was drawn to the multi-faceted nature of the architectural profession; he found a calling that required skills across the realms of art, science, technology and business. Crispin attended the College of Environmental Design at the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and acted as president of the Chicano Architecture Student Association.
Before joining WRNS Studio, Crispin worked on a number of high profile projects based out of Los Angeles, Detroit and San Francisco and became a technical architect with a focus on complex healthcare projects, one of which is the El Camino Hospital in Mountain View California. Some of his notable non healthcare projects include the General Motors Technical Center (2m sq ft.) situated on the Warren Michigan campus originally designed by Eero Saarinen. Other notable projects include the 199 Fremont 23-story, 426,00 sq ft high-rise in downtown San Francisco. Crispin is a Sub Elite Marathon and Ultramarathon Runner and competed as part of a relay team that set the world record for a 340 mile run from Los Angeles to Las Vegas.
