Sonora Court Housing and offices spur walkable Sunnyvale

Sonora Court

Sonora Court breathes new life into Sunnyvale’s Lawrence Station Area, a district evolving from its agricultural and industrial roots into a modern, mixed-use neighborhood. Two thoughtfully designed buildings, organized around landscaped courtyards and mature conifers, integrate commercial and residential uses to create a walkable, transit-connected environment.

A central plaza along Sonora Court gathers entries to both buildings, providing shaded, human-scale spaces for residents, workers, and visitors to connect. The lower levels of both buildings are dedicated to commercial spaces, with brick cladding that reflects the area’s industrial heritage. Above, residential floors feature clean lines, punched windows, and sawtooth-inspired balconies that frame views and bring in light.
