Dennis & Janice Caprara Community Center Where youth lead and voices resonate

Located in the fertile Salinas Valley, Gonzales is a small, tightly knit city with a rich agricultural history and a predominantly Hispanic and Latino population. The Dennis & Janice Caprara Community Center Complex will serve as a vital hub, offering amenities like a community hall, teen innovation center, and a County library to enrich residents’ lives.

WRNS Studio partnered with Otto Construction, the Gonzales Youth Council, and the broader community to design an equitable, welcoming space. The process included bilingual engagement, local talent development, and youth-led advocacy. With its modern yet modest design, the center reflects the community’s spirit and invests in its future.
