Education

MA, Architecture and Urban Design, Columbia University

Born in Goa, India but raised in Muscat, Oman, Ninoshka’s exposure to two distinct countries, their vibrant cultures, and architectural styles spurred her early love of the built environment. To Ninoshka, architecture is an extension of the public realm; it must engage with its surroundings, celebrate its context, and generate dialogue with the community. Her integrated design approach is grounded in placemaking and elevated through details that enhance the human experience. Since joining WRNS Studio, Ninoshka has worked on various projects, from tenant improvement projects to whole campus developments for workplace and higher education clients.

Ninoshka earned her Master’s in Architecture and Urban Design at Columbia University in New York. Following her graduation, she spent a year at Columbia researching and creating drawings for the second edition of A History of Housing in New York City by Richard Plunz as well as working on a publication of ideas and strategies to help underserved communities in Medellin, Colombia. When Ninoshka is not working, she commits her time to volunteering at not-for-profits and organizations to help support underserved communities. Committed to equity in the field of architecture, Ninoshka leads studioWRNS in New York and serves as an advisor for WRNS Foundation scholarship recipients.
