Lauren Bordessa

For Lauren, being an architect means working with a city’s layered history, skillfully translating and adapting existing contexts to cultivate authentic urban landscapes. This approach is critical as society and technology rapidly evolve. Whether revitalizing existing structures or designing new ones, Lauren practices contextual, site-specific design that celebrates the unique characteristics of each place. While earning her Bachelor of Architecture at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Lauren studied abroad in Switzerland and Rome, where she explored the role of ancient architecture in modern society and how cities evolve over time. An avid traveler, she views exploration as an opportunity to engage with diverse cultures and learn about the ways in which different societies shape their built environments and create a sense of place.
